In the Cursed City tie-in novel, corpse rats feature frequently as a force of nature that can be summoned by the amethyst wizard Morrvahl Olbrecht, but never truly controlled - what better way to represent that than with an endless spell? Giving the corpse rats a standard unit warscroll was clearly an option, but I wanted to do something a little bit different.
